«Nestled in the mountainous town of La Vega, lies the repurposed farm of Natauta.
Its situation on the side of a ridge allows a majestic view of the flowing valley and neighboring rises. The farm has done very little to change much of the landscape on the property allowing pristine stretches of trails and riverway. In its early days when I visited, little had been done for facilities in education and outreach. None the less, the landscape and terrain enamored me. My trek down to the riverside acquainted me with the shifting vegetation that flowed from ridge crest to river shore. My time at the river proved just as fun as unique, with the finding of a rare fast-water frog and the discovery of several ammonite fossils. These impressions leave me with no doubt the capabilities to enrapture visitors with their surrounding and open them to learning of their lands ecology and beauty!»
